Location. The Raphael Hotel is a European-style boutique hotel located within the historic Country Club Plaza in the center of Kansas City, Mo. The birthplace of jazz, Kansas City offers a variety of attractions within eight miles of the hotel, including the downtown area, the Kansas City Zoo and the American Jazz Museum. Once a 1927 apartment building, the Raphael Hotel's ornate lobby features reproductions of works by Raphael himself as well as local artwork, all accented by high ceilings and antiques.
